About Dr. Evans
I grew up in a small town in central Wisconsin. After going to UW-La Crosse for college and then Des Moines University for podiatric medical school, I was accepted to a residency program in Passaic New Jersey, 15 miles outside Manhattan. While there, in addition to getting the usual surgical and clinic training, I discovered my interest in wound care. The program I attended had an active wound clinic and I chose to spend nearly all my spare time between surgeries, clinic hours, and rounding on inpatients there learning from podiatrists, vascular surgeons, and plastic surgeons how to treat wounds of all kinds.
I completed my residency and was then hired by two of the podiatrists that had helped train me. Having spent several years in an urban area, I was ready to head back to the Midwest and opened Range Foot & Ankle in 2015. My family and I are blessed to live in an area many only get to visit while on vacation. And I am grateful to be able to use my training to serve the people on the Iron Range. My goal is for Range Foot & Ankle to provide compassionate, ever improving foot and ankle healthcare in a friendly environment, where everyone feels comfortable and welcomed.
